First Grade

- Math – addition & subtraction to 20; patterns; place value; measurement;fractions; problem solving; number order, counting by 1’s, 3’s,5’s,10’s, 25’s; money
- Phonics – word attack skills; beginning spelling
- Reading – fluency, comprehension; vocabulary
- Writing – complete sentences, parts of speech; writing poetry; writing structured stories; book reports; factual paragraphs
- Social Studies – maps; Columbus; Pilgrims; Native Americans; Explorers; Jamestown; wants and needs
- Science – space; life cycles; simple machines; animals; habitats; states of matter, changes, weather, electricity, force; rocks & minerals
- P.E. – large and fine motor skills; games and aerobics

Stephanie was born and raised in California. She and her husband, Rick, have three wonderful children. Stephanie enjoys baking, reading, jogging, and spending time with her family and friends.
